Abstract


As the knowledge economy era , knowledge of the enterprise search has become an increasingly important technology innovation activities. However, in previous studies , scholars search for more knowledge is concerned the impact on innovation performance , while in search of knowledge there are few studies on the determinants . In addition, scholars in the study of knowledge search, and no product innovation and process innovation contrast analysis . In this study, an overview of past scholars , based on the use of IDRC project data to Chinese small and medium sized manufacturing enterprises as the research object , constructed factors external knowledge search strategy model , while the firm size and the proportion of exports into them, these factors knowledge of the enterprise search strategy. Using factor analysis, multiple linear regression analysis , Tobit regression analysis method of the proposed conceptual model was validated and used in product and process innovation Chow test to test , study some conclusions drawn as follows : in product innovation , cost leadership strategy and search width and depth were negatively correlated ; absorption capacity was positively correlated with search depth ; degree of organizational change search width and depth were positively correlated . In the process of innovation , cost leadership strategy and the search for the width and depth of the negative correlation ; absorptive capacity and the search depth was positively correlated ; organizational change the extent and search width and depth were positively correlated ; external environment dynamic and search depth were positively correlated. Chow test results showed that the product and process innovation in the search strategy in the external knowledge there are significant differences . In the control variables , firm size and process innovation search width was negatively correlated with search depth product innovation negatively correlated . Proportion of exports and product innovation enterprise search width was negatively correlated with search depth process innovation is negatively correlated .
