Abstract


In the 12th plan for five years from Chinese government, we are advocated to control the emissions of greenhouse gas. In order to reduce the energy intensity and carbon dioxide emission intensity, control the greenhouse gas’emissions effectively, we should have an adjust of the industrial structure and energy structure, take use of energy frugally and effectively and increase forest carbon sinks. The consumption of fossil fuels is the major source of greenhouse gases. Mining industry is a source of fossil and is the main energy consumption industry. So it is critical for energy saving and emission reduction and sustainable development that which pattern we choose on exploration, exploitation,?smelt, mineral separation, utilization and consumption.Circular economy is widely used in China’s production and life in practice. Circular economy on the aspects of mining has an innovation in the theory and practice and generally to form three circulars’patterns: the small cycle in one enterprise, industrial park circular pattern among many enterprises, a cycle of mining cities. The development of circular economy model in mining has played a significant role in promoting the sustainable development of China’s mining industry. Base on the background of circular economy, this paper will give an exploration on the mining industry model from the perspective of low-carbon economy. Follow is the main work and research of this paper:Studied the similarities and differences on low-carbon economy and circular economy; Build the low carbon economy model and mining evaluation system based on recycling economy; Analyze the disadvantages of the traditional mode of mining industry and the major factors leading to the carbon emissions of mining industry; Study the advantages and disadvantages of three mining cycle economic model and analyze greenhouse gases saving effects of circular economy. Study how to combine the low-carbon economy with mining cycle economy; Evaluate the 5 provinces’level of mining development on low-carbon economy in? Ordos Basin; Put forward the measures and suggestions on low-carbon model of mining industry.
