Abstract

Wheel-rail noise, which is mostly generated by vibrations of both the rail and the wheel, is the main source of noise in the urban rail system. With the principles of multi-degree absorber and damping absorber, a rail noise controller which agrees with urban rail is designed. The Finite Element Method (FEM)、modal analysis and the Boundary Element Method (BEM) are synthetically used to analyze the dynamic characteristic and the acoustic field radiated of rail and rail controller in this thesis.Firstly, according to the location of urban rail in the rail of the actual situation and the parameters of the case, a noise controller is designed with easy installed, simple structure and good resisting noise effect through access to mechanical design manuals and the fatigue strength of materials.Secondly, a finite element model of rail is built in this paper. After modal analysis, natural frequencies and modes are obtained. The result of experiment model analysis is compared to the simulation result. Damping ratios are obtained by testing frequency response function of rail.Thirdly, install the noise controller on the two-meter rail and analyze the resisting noise effect of it. Compared the experiment result with the simulation analysis result, the experiment result has a good agreement with the simulation analysis result and it shows that the finite element models of the rail and controller are correct. Finally, with changing the point position and the way of excitation, the size of small steel balls inside the shell, these factors on the resisting noise effect of noise controller are analyzed.
