Abstract


Graphical representation in understanding the physics of abstract problem plays an important role , which is to assist the students an important tool for proper characterization ; graphic representation for the understanding and application requires good visual spatial ability and cognitive flexibility , the only way to each flexible element of the problem appropriately combined together to achieve the purpose of solving the problem . In this study, experimental materials using self high a physical test questions , the first preliminary experiment , mainly on the difficulty of each test questions , each question used time and student grade point average , to prepare for the formal experiments select questions and answer time control . Formal experiment consists of two parts , one main experiment investigated topic map , by trying to figure three kinds of graphic representation , and functions of different cognitive flexibility high school students of physics problem solving ; experiment two main effects of visual-spatial ability and cognitive flexibility for high school students of physics problem solving . Select subjects formal experiment CPC 192 , all from a senior year of high thirteen parallel classes , according to the level of cognitive flexibility and the level of visual spatial ability grouping ; experimental use of \, using the \Through two experimental study reached the following conclusions: ( 1 ) three kinds of students under the graphical representation of the physical problem solving scores were significant differences , when the graphic representation is by trying the best results when solving problems ; yes topic map , the solution question mark followed ; is a function graph, solving the worst performance ; ( 2 ) three kinds of students under the graphical representation of the physical problem solving performance differences on the issue of the Yi were no significant differences in the problems reached a significant level ; ( 3 ) students ' problem-solving cognitive flexibility high score significantly better than the students' problem-solving cognitive flexibility low scores , this difference in difficulty reached significant levels in the Yi were no significant differences on the issue ; ( 4 ) high visual spatial ability students ' problem-solving performance significantly better than the low- ability students' problem-solving visuospatial scores , this difference in difficulty reached significant levels in the Yi were no significant differences on the issue .
