Abstract

Confucius was the father of the Ru School. He was also a famous ideologist and educationist in our country, he lays foundation stones for Chinese nation culture tradition. Confucius put cultivating moral character as the focus of the teaching, which is the mission and substance of Confucianism.As the organiger of Confucianism, Confucius attach great importance to moral accomplishment, he ever classify the people into five grades:vulgarian, soldier, gentlemen, wise man and sage. Sage is a person of highest rank, becoming a sage is everybody’s final ideal. Confucian "sage state" is an ideality, it is beyond reality, it is also the awakening of the real life. The management view of "sage state" created by Confucious advocates influencing other people by self-cultivation. It emphasizes on the subjectiveness of man, the manager can obtain self-conscious behaviour by learning and training to attain one’s management goal.This paper comprises three parts:Part one, it expatiated on the theme of the paper about how to manage with Confucian School "sage state". By analysis of management, self-cultivation and moral leadership, it point out that if the manager want to become a sage must cultivate himself first, by self-improvement to impact on popular feeling and become a leadership finally. This course regards as the embodiment of the ideal of Confucian School "Internal Saint & External King".Part two, it discusses the management view of Confucian School "sage state", which is made up of three aspects:"cultivate one’s mind", "Kindness" and "promote able men". "Cultivate one’s mind" means that the manager sets a good example, be strict with himself and be lenient with others. Form the course "self-improvement, set a good example, command others" at last. "Kindness" as a perfect state has been embodied well in Confucian School. "Love all" as an emphasis is a purposeful method used in management. "Promote able men" embodies the manager’s selfless spirit when he commends an excellent man. The management style in ancient China put the people first. The manager must hold selfless and magnanimous character, build up the sound management concept.Part three, according to compare with occidental country which stress the object of management, expatiate the action of the subject of management in Chinese nation management culture tradition. Achieve one’s aim cultivating one’s mind, traditional virtue is the foundation of being a man, unselfish love is of the highest kind. Become a prestigious and leading man, so lead the underling without the right only by personality achieve management result.This paper take Lun yu(the analects of confucius) as the main material, refers to contemporary scholar’s works, collect many research results, use with literature review, historical analysis and systematic discussion. The article set and analyse the relative document about Confucian "sage state" management concept, and digs out its value at present. Because of limitation of research, the article doesn’t talk about Confucian "sage state" management concept used in the daily life. The paper looks a little superficial, thanks for the teachers’value advice.
