Abstract


All the cultures of humanity are generated, succeeded and inflected in order to accommodate the requirement of the survival and development of certain group. The Christian music was introduced to China as the Christian culture. It always changes and adjusts the local culture in order to better spread and development of Christianity. Therefore, the Christian music will show different features when it is introduced to different nations and regions. According to the investigate of Ximenli Church in Kaifeng, a large number of field inspect and literature survey, I consider the four following aspects: the culture of Ximenli Church, worship and music types, the main part and the main analysis of music, several cases. I generally conclude that the Christian music of Kaifeng city have the characteristics of localization and secularization.In addition to full text of the preface and conclusion, the thesis is divided into five parts. The contents are as follows:The general introduction of the culture of Ximenli Church in Kaifeng city. Explain its historical development and the internal structure.Worship and music types of Ximenli Church in Kaifeng city. The general Sunday worship, rituals and music types of the major festivals and special religious will be considered in this chapter.In this chapter, the experience of the growth of the main part and choice of the music will be studied by the three following aspects: the composition of the members of the main part, selection and conductor of the music, the activity.The fouth chapter cuts in from the music itself of ximenli .the main analysis of music of Ximenli Church in Kaifeng city怂And based on the analysis of musical ontology, I give my thinking on the characteristics expressed by Ximenli Church.The ceremony and some cases in Ximenli Church in Kaifeng city. Combining the selection of music in the activity of the major festival such as Christmas Eve and Christmas, I analyse the characteristics expressed by Christian music in Kaifeng. And analyse the function of ritual music through some cases. The key points in the body are summarized in conclusion section. The future and development of Ximenli Church and style of the music are discussed combing the interviews with the minister.
