In engineering, water damage on the project has a very important role. For the existence of groundwater seepage slope, seepage and stress fields exist simultaneously, the slope instability is the effect of deformation causing by their coupling. Therefore, consider the interaction of stress and pore pressure, the study of fluid-solid coupling seepage on the project has real meaning.Based on the theory of coupled fluid -flow and seepage, fluid flow coupling finite element model is established. Consider the effect of stress and pore water pressures coupling on slope stability, the main research work are the following:(1) ant colony optimization algorithm is developed in recent years . It has a global search capability and its optimizing speed is fast. Based on ant colony optimization algorithm the paper adopts the ant colony optimization algorithm program composed with FORTRAN language. Besides the paper integrate the ant colony optimization and finite element method to search any non-arc-shaped sliding surface. And verify the effectiveness of the program with a typical standard numerical example. Then the finite element strength reduction method and ant colony optimization search procedure are used to analyze the stability of the homogeneous slope and non-homogeneous slope containing soft interlayer respectively. The analysis results by two methods have verified the effectiveness of the program further. The results also show that the ant colony optimization program can be used in the non-homogeneous slope stability analysis. The combination of two methods can compensate for each other’s faults. Stress - strain information calculated by the finite element method of can truly reflect the rock stress state.(2) ADINA has obvious advantages in the seepage and fluid-solid coupling analysis. Based on the basic principles of flow, the constitutive of ADINA-Thermal and seepage, the paper analyze the seepage. Besides the paper also analyze the basic presumption, equation and boundary conditions of the ADINA porous media model according to the flow-solid coupling seepage mathematical model. In the process of creating the finite element model, the paper tries to integrate the ADINA-Thermal module with ADINA-Structures module and couple the porous media with geotechnical properties. And the paper has introduced the ideas and steps of the analysis process.(3) Based on the ADINA finite element analysis model, this paper put the mixture of soil and water as the research object, carry on the fluid- solid coupling analysis of a dam, and analyze the slope stability through the strength reduction finite element method and ant colony optimization algorithm program .In the process we also consider the interaction of porous medium inner stress and pore pressure. And the paper applies the model to the instance of Upper San Fernando Dam. We make the simulation of the seepage under seismic load with the fulid-solid coupling model, and analyze the slope stability with the ant colony optimization program and then search for the possible potential sliding surface in the earthquake loads. The numerical example has considered seepage and seismic coupling effect.
