With the continuous exploitation and consumption of land resources, but the resource needs for human are rapid growing. Various countries has put more and more attention on the ocean resources, From offshore to the ocean, And the deep-sea vehicle is a kind of equipment, which can carry all sorts of electronic and mechanical devices, engineers and scientists to severe deep-sea environment rapidly and accurately, and can perform ocean exploring, scientific survey and operational missions mare effectively. The vehicle is an important technical tool for human to perform ocean-exploring tasks. The pressure hull is the important part for the submarine system, its performance directly affects the overall epnegrfionremerainncge wofo r ukn. d Serow arteesre avrechhiicnlge s .o nT h eth etr andeitwio nsahl a ipseo t rsotpyliec manadte rtihales cnaenw’t mmaeteetr itahles application is significant to improve the scope of underwater vehicles, improve the structural design of submersible pressure, reducing the weight of the structure itself. This paper is going to study the polyhedrally-stiffened cylindrical (PC) shellstructural response on laying of composite materials. It is researched on the Polyhedrally-stiffened Cylindrical Shell, Ring-Stiffened Cylindrical Shell and Circular Cylindrical Shell. The structure stability of three kinds of cylinder shell, with the same metal material, same geometry size and same ratio of gravity and buoyancy, is compared. The theoretical buckling depth is contrasted and the effect of different initial defect forms on the stability is discussed. The calculation results show that The Polyhedrally-stiffened Cylindrical Shell has intrinsically high circumferential bending rigidity and less sensitive to the defect. This paper also analysis the strength of the Polyhedrally-stiffened Cylindrical Shell in composite materials. Choose the different strength criterions including the max stress criterion, max strain criterion, Tsai-Hill criterion and Tsai-Wu criterion to calculate the structure. Through the analysis, Structural weight reduce significantly with composite materials so that the layout for more equipment to provide the conditions.Base on the classical laminate theory and the superior direction designed, with numerical method for predicting the effect of the different ply modes of composite laminates on buckling pressure. It is proved that different ply modes of composite laminates could improve the Polyhedrally-stiffened Cylindrical Shell’s stability.Base on the classical laminate theory, extending the analytical solution on asymmetric fibre-metal laminates, and taking the numerical analysis on symmetric hybrid fibre-metal laminates with finite element to compare with experiment results. It’s thought that the finite element could satisfy the demand of engineering calculation. Moreover, the effect of the different ply modes, the thickness of the metal layer and the material properties on tension strength was discussed, to make preparation for the finite element analysis on large-scale and complex structures.
