Abstract


Paper for the campus network have studied management, this paper first analyzes the campus network management protocol SNMP protocol is very important to analyze the architecture of the SNMP protocol, SNMP protocol message format, and protocol methods of operation. It analyzes the ICMP protocol in network management protocol application methods, combination of the two to the existing network management technology developed on the basis of Jane to the Campus Network network management system. According to the ISO definition of network management, network management including performance management, Configuration Management, Fault Management, Security Management, Accounting Management. Management is based on the five physical campus network management, physical network management can not do without the physical network topology discovery, so this paper, the existing physical network topology discovery technologies combine with the practical management experience, special attention, network management dummy terminals to establish the topology map. Existing network management technology in the physical network topology discovery, SNMP protocol is based on the agreement of the device address forwarding to the discovery of physical terminals, dumb terminals generally do not support the SNMP protocol or failure interrupted the SNMP protocol support. The approach is a combination of ICMP, online monitoring data collection, with its perfect than manually collecting network topology.Network management is a dynamic process that requires long-term accumulation and improve the theory, equipment support, be able to achieve the desired state. This study carefully the theory of network management, analyzed, combined with the concrete practice of the maintenance of campus network can play a reference. Also provides a new method.
