With the 3G era, smartphones gradually into the lives of ordinary people, providing people with a lot of convenient services. Today's society, people's own security awareness are increasing, while the elderly, children and some special groups of concern about security is also rising, along with a variety of mobile positioning technology is widely used in smart phones, smartphone-oriented Personal Emergency services are also gaining attention. Android platform is the current hot research field of smart phones, it not only has a good open software and hardware extensions, but also provides developers with a powerful map display and control functions. This paper is designed and implemented based on the Android platform, SOS (Send Our Succour, speed to aid) system, which is designed to help focus the information content and delivery methods, through a combination of smart phone communications, positioning, multimedia and Internet function to achieve convenient and reliable mobile emergency services. The main work includes: 1) for the current mobile phone SOS system availability, reliability, deficiencies, an improved scheme, namely, by adding location information and on-site live information to enhance the system's utility and use the information to send multiple services to enhance system reliability. 2) the characteristics of the Android platform, architecture and application design ideas, combined with positioning, multimedia and messaging technologies such as in-depth analysis to clarify the SOS system functional requirements. 3) proposed component-based SOS system design. Combined with Android's component architecture, the syntax from the component model, interaction, and deploy three aspects of the system design. At the same time, using a message-oriented component coordination mechanism, each information collection component after the completion of the associated command will send a broadcast message passing components, transmission components, after receiving the broadcast message will create a new process to perform the sending task , thereby increasing the efficiency of distress message sending links. 4) the use of hierarchical thinking SOS system is divided into the presentation layer, the background layer transmission, data acquisition and data layers, and each layer gives the functional components of the structure and the interaction between layers. Implementation of the system's key features include: self-positioning, positioning the capture of information, multiple help target binding, live pictures, voice and video information collection, SMS, MMS and Email distress automatic editing and sending of information, such as location tracking .
