Abstract


With the development of technology of computer application, network and database, the non-paper exam has been widely used in place of the traditional exam in some fields because it is efficient, fair and safe. Firstly the paper analyzes the present situation and the questions of non-paper exam. Then, according to the actual requirement of our college, the paper puts forward a new non-paper exam system based on the C/S model and applied to LAN. The exam system includes exam service and exam management. The exam system is made up of the model of server management and the model of client exam management. And the system can make some functions, such as examinee info. management, database management, random exam, score checking and so on.The difficulty of the system is to automatically scoring on subjective item. The paper mainly introduces the implement to this case taking Excel operation as example. According to quoting Word, Excel and PowerPoint by COM technology, we can draw out the attribute and status relative to the Office document from the answer sheet which examinee submits and compare with the standard answer by VBA technology. Thereby the system can make automatically score on subjective item.This exam system not only researches on the algorithm of auto-generating examination paper, but also improves the traditional algorithm. The system changes the order of the test by the random number, and extracts random sequence of the test orderly. At the same time, it sets some difficulty ratio for every question in database. The new algorithm is efficient and could keep difficulty coefficient balance of the test paper. Thus this algorithm will ensure that the exam is scientific and fair.
