Wireless LAN (WLAN) is a bridge to connect the communication network and the terminal equipment . With the development of wireless LAN technology , wireless local area network (WLAN) applications in the life and work more widely played an increasing role . , The development of standards for wireless LAN antenna very practical sense , the goal of this paper is designed to meet the requirements of the standard WLAN IEEE802.11a/b/g WLAN antenna for wireless LAN communication network requirements . Wireless LAN characteristics determine its special antenna , WLAN antenna should have according to these requirements , miniaturization , broad-band , dual-band characteristics . Low profile, but also easy to conformal convenient integrated microwave integrated circuits . Miniaturized microstrip antenna has a small size , light weight , low cost , low profile , easy conformal advantages , but also can be easily implemented antenna , wideband and multi-band , able to achieve all of the requirements of the wireless LAN antenna , with to achieve the ideal choice for wireless LAN antenna . In this paper, on the basis of the relevant literature , through analysis and simulation of microstrip antenna , the requirements of the standard for the wireless local area network (WLAN) IEEE802.11a/b/g proposed three microstrip antenna : a printing dipole antenna through the antenna arm slotted , so that the antenna has two arms , in order to achieve the effect of the antenna dual band the balun feed to achieve the miniaturization of the antenna , it is an object of the wideband ; two planar monopole antenna , a realization of the dual use of two asymmetric arm , the other is the use of a double \the radiation pattern , using the volume of the coplanar waveguide feed to the antenna can be reduced , and easily integrated into a microwave integrated circuit . Paper on the structure of the antenna by electromagnetic simulation software simulation optimization design of the antenna , and then optimize the size of the antenna processing test results show that the simulation results with the measured results are consistent wireless LAN can reach the requirements of the standards .
