Abstract


In recent years, with the rapid development of China's economy , more and more enterprises overseas mergers and acquisitions . However, the performance of overseas acquisitions in the end how , do not create value for the company , not much relevant research literature . In this paper, the case study method , BOE Technology Group is selected as the research object , the analysis of the BOE a series of overseas mergers and acquisitions . This paper described in detail on the BOE developments and overseas M \u0026 A situation , key research on the basis of the performance of the BOE overseas mergers and acquisitions . Respectively, from the short-term and long-term analysis . Event study analysis of the short-term performance of the BOE overseas mergers and acquisitions , financial indicators and analysis of the long-term performance of the BOE overseas mergers and acquisitions . The results show that the BOE core technology obtained through overseas acquisitions to improve the company 's position in the industry , to some extent, improve the company's competitiveness . The event study results also show that the BOE several overseas mergers and acquisitions in the short term for the company to create value significantly greater than 0 , the cumulative excess yield CAR . But in the long run , through mergers and acquisitions before and after several years of financial indicators , we can be seen the overseas acquisition does not bring value to the company , the company's operating performance falling instead of rising . Through the analysis of the case , we want to be able to reference other overseas acquisitions .
