Abstract


Tianjin as China's important comprehensive industrial base, with its unique geographical advantage in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) have always walking in front of other provinces, particularly in the manufacturing sector has attracted many multinational companies with international influence investment. The new industrial layout plan proposed in Tianjin Tianjin should be built into the equipment manufacturing as the core of modern industrial base, and the Tianjin manufacturing is facing currently low level of technology, industrial supporting capacity is not complete, the level of innovation issues such as inadequate . Through the combined effect of industrial agglomeration and industrial related effects reduce transaction costs, access to external economies and scale advantages; multinational companies with strong capital strength, global marketing channels, high level of technical development, and effective management experience, foreign investment-oriented industrial agglomeration can undoubtedly promote Tianjin manufacturing technology innovation capability and industrial structure upgrading. Therefore, in the next period of time Tianjin manufacturing how to better attract foreign investments to Tianjin gathering to enhance their level of specialization becomes particularly important. Through theoretical and empirical studies analyzing a combination of manufacturing and FDI in Tianjin between benign interaction, based on research results Tianjin how to be more rational and effective use of foreign investment recommendations and countermeasures. This paper is divided into five parts, the main contents are as follows: The first part of the paper presents the problems to be studied, thesis ideas and frameworks and scholars at home and abroad of industrial agglomeration and FDI situation. The second part mainly analyzes the Tianjin manufacturing industry cluster and FDI current profiles, while the introduction of regional industrial agglomeration index entropy and two indicators analyzed Tianjin manufacturing industry gathering current situation. The third part, mainly on industrial concentration and the mechanism of interaction between FDI. Theory and the reality of existence through a case study of industrial agglomeration and FDI cumulative causation mechanism exists between circulating that the two are mutually reinforcing. The fourth part, according to the 1996-2009 Tianjin manufacturing and FDI data, empirical analysis through the metering software there is a positive correlation between the two in the case of the first difference is stationary, also found that manufacturing FDI in Tianjin for each percentage point increase in the number of not manufacturing industry gathering on a logarithmic index by 0.26 percentage points. The fifth part, the theoretical analysis and empirical research based on a combination of rational utilization of foreign investment in Tianjin made personal recommendations.
