Abstract


Researches on the application of Chinese traditional auspicious design in modern life ceramics offer a good way for the daily life ceramics creation to keep its art characteristics and national style. Chinese ceramics is famous for its vivid art characteristic and national style and because of this it gets high appraisal in the development history of world ceramics creation. Because of its special decoration style and nation language, Chinese traditional auspicious design is widely applied in pottery for thousands of years. Although it witnesses thousands of year’s development, it still keeps its characteristics with more oriental nation features. Since Chinese’s traditional auspicious design gathers the mental process of Chinese aesthetics and shows the national quality, culture connotation and history aspect.Starting from the changes and development of Chinese traditional auspicious design in daily life ceramics in the past dynasties, this article tries to discuss the Chinese traditional auspicious design from outside to inside. Through the effect of common culture and aesthetic desire on Chinese traditional auspicious design, this article aims to make clear of the origin and development of Chinese traditional auspicious pattern and the key elements in developing Chinese modern life ceramics with national styles.Firstly, this article begins with the application and development of Chinese traditional auspicious design and makes a comprehensive survey on Chinese traditional auspicious design. Secondly, it illustrates the changes of Chinese traditional auspicious design under the changes of modern aesthetic and the relationship between Chinese traditional auspicious design and modern life ceramics. Based on facts, this article is to get the intersection point of modern life ceramics and traditional auspicious design by the means of comparison and illustration. At last it expands the expression language of modern life ceramics in means of researching on enlightenment of the modern life ceramics creation gained from the traditional auspicious design, which makes us cognize modern life ceramics featured with national style from a special angle in order to create ceramics works with national rationality thoughts and culture characteristics.
