Abstract

Automobile industry is labor-intensive, capital-intensive and technology-intensive industry, whose development is of great significance in driving the development of other related industries sharply and in supporting national economic development. But with the development of economy and increase of per capital income, automobile product has become one of the important products which the residents of our country consume. The development of automobile industry is effectively upgrading the consumption structure of Chinese residents to "housing and travel" from "food and clothing". Therefore, the auto industry has become an important component of China’s rapid development of economy.But with the end of the protection period after China’s access to the WTO and the extinction of tariff barriers and non-tariff barriers, China’s automotive industry is facing the increasingly intense competition environment. The situation of automobile industry being at large but not strong makes the global production trade and investment of it in a disadvantageous position and lack of the speaking right of designing rules, distributing profits and operating in the cooperation with foreign capital . Especially the sustainable measures concerning the current low-carbon industry and the development of green economy has been put forward measures, the early development path of China’s automotive industry runs against the healthy development of it. Therefore, under the current international situation, changing the way of the development of automobile industry plays a significant role in maintaining automobile industry security and optimizing the structure of the automobile industry.With the outbreak of 2008 financial crisis, security problems have been put on agenda, government and academic circles do lots of research on economic security. Auto industry security issue, as a part of the economic security of our country, the importance of research is self-evident. So, therefore, strengthening the research of automobile industry security, not only helps guiding the development of the auto industry, but also promoting our country’s economic security.Therefore, this article deals with the security issue of the automobile industry in China. Based on the review of related literature concerning the industry security and the comprehensive use of empirical analysis and normative analysis, quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis, this paper analyses the security issue of the automobile industry in China problems from multiple perspectives. The paper is divided into five parts: the first part is introduction which includes research background and significance ,research status, related concepts and the objects of research , research thinking , research contents and research methods , the details of innovations and deficiencies; the second part is about the theoretical basis and realistic proofs of maintaining auto industry security; the third part is on analyzing the factors of automobile industry security; the fourth part deals with the present situation of automobile industry security in China and make a estimation of the degree of security; the fifth part is on the policies and suggestions of maintaining China’s automobile industry security.This paper is dealing with the current condition of automobile industry in our country, estimating the degree of it, and putting forward some related suggestions and policies, which is of great guiding value and reference value.
