Abstract

Cardiovascular diseases have been the chief killers so far Because of their high incidences. In our country, as the population is increasing and aging, the condition of cardiovascular diseases appears especially severe. However, thanks to the lasting development and deeper investigation of the treating technology based on computer assistance, there is a new solvent provided by the modeling for cardiovascular diseases with three-dimensional information extracted from two-dimensional images. According to the achievement in the field of medicine and physiology, this paper presents an iterative modeling method combining the three-dimensional (3-D) reconstruction of coronary artery from cine angiograms.Major processes include: firstly, construct the static models of the heart and coronary arteries via slicing images of an American male heart; then take the displacement of heart in both normal and tangent direction into account to gain the dynamic models; lastly, compare this coronary model with the individual 3-D coronary artery trees reconstructed from the single-plane angiographic images. If the topological difference is little, we fuse them into a general coronary arterial model which contains more information in detail; otherwise, a new special model is available. By the means of iteration, this method can continually update the model to acquire the one with more similarities of the coronary arterial trees in real physiological condition and the other specials, which together could form a library to serve the clinical treatments or researches as guidance and reference.Besides, in the end of this paper the applications of dynamic models about matching and cardiac movement compensation in three-dimensional reconstruction are introduced, and the coronary arterial model is employed to establish an experiment of simulating the single-plane X-ray angiographic system to test the validity of the algorithm of cardiac movement compensation.
