Abstract

Amphiphilic traditional starch derivative is mostly a benzyl chloride or a long carbon chain halogenated hydrocarbon hydrophobic agent , the method there is environmental pollution , energy consumption of the disadvantages . Corn starch as raw material , phenyl glycidyl ether (PGE) etherification reagents , sodium hydroxide as a catalyst , water as solvent, Amphiphilic starch derivatives were synthesized under milder conditions -2 - hydroxy - 3 - phenoxypropyl starch ether ( HPPSs ) , . The effects of reaction temperature , reaction time , the amount of alkali , solvent amount of water on the degree of substitution (MS) and the reaction efficiency (RE) . The experimental results show that the optimum reaction conditions : reaction temperature 60 ° C , reaction time 6h, the amount of alkali n (NaOH) / n ( AGU) = 2.0 , the amount of solvent water V (H2O) = 30 mL . The degree of substitution MS of the product = 0.84, RE = 56 % . Prepared under the reaction conditions to different degrees of substitution of 2 - hydroxy-3 - phenoxy -propyl starch ether ( HPPSs ) , and was characterized by IR and 1HNMR product structure . Will be prepared in different degrees of substitution of 2 - hydroxy-3 - phenoxypropyl starch ethers (HPPSs) the solubility properties of the study shows that has better dissolution properties : When the degree of substitution MS = 0.05 ~ 0.32 hours . The results showed that of the surface-active and emulsifying properties : HPPSs as hydrophobic group substitution degree (MS) in different , critical micelle concentration is between 1.54 ~ 0.24g / L change . HPPSs the surface tension decreased With the improvement of the MS , when the MS at 0.32 , the surface tension of 45.6mN / m. HPPSs emulsion stability is gradually increased with increasing concentration . When the concentration of 4g / L , continue to increase the concentration on the stability of the emulsion to not significantly increase with the hydrophobic group substituted at the same time to increase its degree of emulsion stability is also increased . Chloroacetate prepared as the etherifying agent to the water-insoluble 2 - hydroxy - 3 - phenoxy -propyl starch ether ( HPPSs ) , as raw material, sodium hydroxide as a catalyst, water as solvent, 2 - hydroxy - 3 - phenoxypropyl carboxymethylcellulose starch . Their surface active and emulsifying properties of the study show that : the surface tension tends to balance with the hydrophilic group and a hydrophobic group is gradually reduced when the carboxymethyl degree of substitution MS = 0.9, hydrophobizing degree of substitution of the MS = 0.84 At that time , the lowest surface tension of 43.2mN / m. Studied the pH value of the surface tension shows that the optimum pH value of about 7 . : The preferred emulsifying conditions of pH of = a hydrophobized MS of approximately 0.7 to 0.9 , the carboxymethyl MS of about 0.6 to 0.8 , the temperature is room temperature , salt - free conditions preferred by the experimental results .
