Abstract


After the revival of virtualization technology , based on software technology has become an important area of ​​research . Today, the use of virtualization technology to build high-performance computing applications require runtime environment is becoming a popular trend. Compared with the traditional computing model , the emergence of virtualization technology has brought many benefits . Such as resource aggregation , reduce energy consumption , improve program portability , but also can assist in debugging complex procedures codes. In the traditional computing model , the client operating system (Guest Operating System) process scheduling will be applied directly to the physical processor. However, in a virtual machine computing model , due to the emergence of the virtualization layer , there have been some changes in scheduling mechanism for double- Dispatch: In the GOS , GOS will process scheduling to the virtual processor ; the virtualization layer, the virtual machine management is the virtual processors to physical processors to run on schedule . In today's virtual machine architecture , the two control mechanisms are performed independently . This is to some extent affected the primitives who need to communicate via MPI HPC workload performance , the impact on the virtual machine overload conditions ( ie, a physical processor assigned to more than one virtual processor ) is particularly under intense. This study analyzes the overload condition virtual machine communication using MPI HPC applications performance loss of reason, that the MPI library message receiving mechanism resulting \By further analyzing the virtual machine scheduler source, found that \performance of the method , the upcoming part of the GOS timely scheduling information sent to the virtual Machine Manager virtual Machine Manager to ensure that the scheduler to perform more precise and thus reduce the \Experimental results show that synergistic level scheduling method overload conditions, the virtual machine can significantly improve communication using MPI communication performance HPC load .
