Abstract


Most storage systems have serious security flaws , because the data is mainly through the operating system access control mechanisms for protection , users can bypass the operating system, physical access to storage devices , you can freely access the data. Given the data has become the lifeblood of business survival and valuable resources, storage security issues become increasingly prominent. Based on the traditional tripartite framework for distributed file system DNFS (Distributed Network File System) designed a secure file system KCFS (Kernel-Level Cryptographic File System), the system can run on all file systems based on the POSIX standard for users provide data confidentiality, integrity , file sharing and other needs , while ensuring good performance and ease of use. KCFS Encrypting File System to a separate file system module in the form of random data encryption , which runs on a distributed file system client, you can ensure that the network transmission and storage of data on the device is in the form of ciphertext ; KCFS the file data and metadata stored in the same file, which perfectly supports incremental backups, large-scale storage systems for file migration and file sharing ; KCFS with high security, you can support a variety of different encryption algorithms and key lengths each file can use different keys , that is, different files have different encryption strength ; same time, the software has a very good ease of use, it is able to transparently handle file encryption and decryption, legitimate users and applications an authorized , users can access via a standard interface to transparently access files encrypted files without additional human intervention. Finally KCFS file system from the functional and performance were tested and analyzed. Functionally, the main concern of the stability of the system , file sharing mechanism , ease of use, portability , etc. ; in performance , focusing on adding KCFS encryption feature, on the impact of the performance of the system , as well as use of different the encryption algorithm and key length on system performance . Experimental results show that , KCFS in ensuring the safety of the storage system , it is also has a high performance in practical applications and research environments, and has broad application prospects and value in use .
