Abstract

The international conference is a meeting of different political parties of different countries and regions of the world or the class representatives to discuss specific issues or events. Public speech is a political discourse, it is the speaker on behalf of a class, political party, government or country to do some important events or issues of speech. Public speeches by representatives of the International Conference on not just the expression of their own position and views, but also the participating countries the relationship between bond. The speaker expressed his views when necessary to reflect their own authoritative relationship harmonious interaction with the audience, but also in his speech in order to achieve the purpose of the speech. This interpersonal significance of the International Conference on political speech has a complex and unique characteristics, and thus worthy of our in-depth research. Previously have been a lot of research scholars from the point of view of the functional grammar of interpersonal meaning of political discourse. However, these studies for the English political discourse, interpersonal meaning of Chinese political discourse is relatively small. With China's increasing influence in the international community, the leaders of our country's public speech is more worthy of our in-depth research. In this study, fifteen President Hu Jintao's speech at the international conference, quantitative and qualitative analysis, interpersonal function of President Hu Jintao's speech at the International Conference on the analysis. President Hu Jintao's speech by mood, modality, called and evaluation system for people to build through the study found. In tone, President Hu main tone of the statement to provide information, to express their views and positions. With a large number of the imperative mood request and recommended to the participating countries, in order to achieve the purpose of the meeting. In his speech, the speaker in order to clarify the purpose of the meeting as well as the obligations and responsibilities of the participating countries, mainly uses the expression of the Italian state, modal values ??of high value. Summary of the current international situation and issues, President Hu Jintao to arouse the audience attaches great importance to use a lot of negative emotional expression, with a large number of tables intention emotional vocabulary to express our determination to contribute willing to solve the problem of promoting world development and wishes to win the support and affirmation of the audience. This study helps us to better understand and appreciate the characteristics of the language of the political speech of the Chinese leaders. It also shows that the feasibility and practicality of Halliday's systemic functional grammar theory in the study of Chinese political discourse interpersonal meaning.
