Abstract


As an applied writing mode, the epitaph covers a lot. In the recent 20 years, the researches’directions can be divided into five aspects:the first is to reinforce for the bookmen’s biographies of Tang Dynasty; the second for the families’history in Tang Dynasty; the third is to revise for Tang bookmen’ album; the fourth for the social、historic and cultural phenomenon reflected in ordinary persons’inscriptions; the fifth is the research about the epitaph’ style of writing.This thesis, on the basis of former worthies, aims to research on the epitaph of the writers and the owners especially on some eunuchs. This paper has three parts. The first part is to have a briefly instruction to the epitaph, with which we can know something about epitaph and their excavations of Tang Dynasty in Shaanxi. At the same time, we can see the present situation of literature researches. The second one is the researches on the relation between the epitaph and literature, analyzing its literal value and the changing of its style writing. The third one is to do some researches on the writers and owners of the epitaph, according to the inscriptions in recent thirsty years we can do some revise for the bookmen’ life. The fourth one is to do some research on some eunuchs’epitaph. The eunuchs are an indispensable part in the history of Tang Dynasty. We can know something about some politics affairs in that time and also can spy out the social conduct, hoping to advance the progress of the literature research.
