Abstract

Integration is a hot issue in the study of contemporary international relations theory, neo-functionalism school, have an important impact on the integration of theoretical research. School of thought of the new features of the integration process is divided into learning, spills, allegiance to the transfer of three interrelated dynamic stage of development. But this theory for spillover thesis allegiance transfer has failed to give a convincing argument. Inherent contradictions and conflicts between regional identity and national identity, neo-functionalism expected of allegiance to transfer into the plight of the theoretical. ASEAN integration, this identity conflict is particularly typical.
