Abstract


Adult education consultation is an important branch of modern consulting industries and it’s also the strong support for various bodies related to adult education to optimize their own behavior. Adult education consultation is still a fresh thing in China, there has little attention paid to this issue and people are in lack of understanding it. In the current, the construction of adult education consulting service system lags behind the need of practice of adult education in China seriously.The formation of education policy has a direct influence on the direction and process of adult education reform and development, adult education consultation is the guarantee for the scientific and democratic adult educational policy decision-making. The educational administrative departments of government at all levels should establish a clear awareness of consultation to adapt to the change of functions and build the Advisory Committee of Educational Decision-Making. To construct a more perfect consulting service system of adult educational decision-making aiming at government, it needs to pay attention to make the existing government-owned adult education research institutions to play a consultative role and gradually bring these institutions to the market; it also needs to encourage the development of non-governmental advisory bodies to form diversified pattern.The mechanism of all kinds of adult education schools at all levels facing to the society independently and getting school-running resources through market competition has already formed. To deal with fierce market competition and realize the transformation and promote management scientism, adult education schools have raised requires for adult education consultation which is based on institutional research. To establish a more perfect consulting service system of adult education aiming at schools, it’s necessary to attach importance to carry out internal consultation as well as seek external advice actively, both of them have advantages and disadvantages, in order to achieve advantage complementation, they should be used in combination.Lifelong learning has become the rules of survival in the 21st century, participating in adult educational activities and updating their knowledge and skills have also become more and more necessary. Both selecting courses and school and improving learning efficiency and quality need intelligence support of professional adult education consulting services for adults still at work. In the provision of consulting service before admission and after admission, adult education schools and social consulting institutions have their own strengths and emphasis.It needs the government and adult education consulting institutions to work together to construct the consulting service system of adult education in China. Governments at all levels should encourage and support the development of adult education consulting industry through making laws and regulations, enhancing industry regulation, offering financial support, guiding market growth and so on. Adult education consulting bodies should strengthen self-construction increasingly through reinforcing specialization and intensification, exploring new business areas actively, setting up industry associations of adult education consultation and other means.
