Abstract


Distributed Control System DCS (Distributed Control System) in the industrial controller is the core of the entire DCS, which is responsible for the data processing and interaction, and its direct impact on the performance of the real-time nature of the system as a whole, reliability and overall performance. Domestic existing DCS controller less computing power and communication less efficient, power-down data save the defective key issues has been difficult to meet the needs of the current large-scale process industry. In this paper, a new DCS research project, design and realization of a new high-performance industrial controller, focused on solving the problem. The main work of this paper: (1) In computing performance on this article controller with a high-performance PowerPC processor and high-speed a reliable DDR2 SDRAM main memory to solve the low operation rate of existing controller processors, main memory SDRAM The data rate is low, the problem of unreliable. The key modules of computational performance through in-depth study of the on the PowerPC processor key technology and high-speed memory technology, optimize the design and improve the computing power of the controller. (2) on the communication rate, with redundant Gigabit Industrial Ethernet controller network communication with the upper system efficiency; Fast Industrial Ethernet redundant controller lower field control network communication efficiency; redundant communication between controllers, high-speed PCI-Express bus technology to solve the problem of low rate of serial interface communication, greatly improving the efficiency of the communication. Design and Implementation of in-depth study and analysis of the above-mentioned communication technology, from hardware and software perspective, improve the controller overall communication efficiency. (3) in the power-down data retention, the paper proposes a farad capacitor energy storage program, which uses farad capacitor storing large amounts of electrical energy to maintain the controller after power, and a fast, reliable non-volatile flash memory NAND save power-down data, to solve the problems of the existing protected SRAM with battery program take up a lot of CPU resources, and to achieve the long-term preservation of the power-down data, increase the reliability of the controller. (4) the development of a controller prototype, prototype on its operation performance, communication efficiency do a series of tests, the power-down data protection program, and compared with domestic mainstream DCS controller, the results show that the proposed design significantly improved the performance of the controller, and has a strong value.
