Abstract

The problem of desertification increasingly become a cause of the hot issues of global concern . China is one of the world 's most serious national land desertification , desertification has become the key to restricting the sustainable development of China 's economic and social environment . Demographic factors are the dominant factor in the development of desertification . The irrational human resource utilization behavior , directly caused by land degradation , eventually leading to land desertification . Mu Us Sandland is one of the famous Four sandy area , located in the farming-pastoral zone , the ecological environment is fragile , severe land degradation , production of local farmers can better represent farming and feeding habits of the desertified areas , with a typical representative. This study is based on the family life cycle theory -based , drawing on existing domestic and international research theory and results , through the Mu Us Region ( Inner Mongolia Wushenqi , Etuokeqian and Shaanxi Yulin Yuyang ) field surveys , and these socio - economic statistical data collation , the family , the use of economic and statistical methods to analyze the family life cycle factors , personal factors , regional factors , and policy factors of the Mu Us Desert Area farmers cultivated land resources , grassland resources , water resources and impact of the firewood resource utilization behavior . Through the analysis concluded that : ( 1 ) Maowusu family factors have an enormous impact resource utilization behavior of farmers ; ( 2) different life cycle household population age structure , ability to learn different direct impact on resource utilization behavior . According to the findings , the study proposed to ease the contradiction between population and natural resources of the region Maowusu few suggestions : ( 1 ) control of the natural growth in the number of household population ; (2) to vigorously develop education , improve the quality of local family population culture ; (3 ) actively widening the channels of employment , circulation accelerate the surplus labor force of young adults of agriculture and animal husbandry ; ( 4 ) unswervingly implement ecological immigration policy ; (5) continue to implement the (grass) , grazing , and a host of other beneficial protection and restoration of natural resources policy .
