Abstract


Objective: To neglect the higher incidence of patients of contralateral space stimulation of brain damage can not pay attention to, and report and characterization of a clinical syndrome, the researchers showed that the left and right hemispheres of the brain injury can cause neglect symptoms, the damage to the right hemisphere neglect and more severe and long-lasting. Cognitive dysfunction, including attention disorder, schizophrenia core performance, which may be related to abnormal structure and function of the cerebral hemispheres. Bisects the line segment and the digital test as an effective means of assessment overlooked phenomenon has recently been used in studies of schizophrenia spatial attention disorder, but the results of the present study is an inconsistency. In this study, the proposed segment aliquots and digital decile test to detect schizophrenia patients to explore the spatial attention disorder schizophrenia and its relationship with the brain hemisphere function. Methods: The subjects were 51 outpatient and inpatient schizophrenia patients and 55 age, gender, education level match healthy. Experimental one segment decile test: require marked 2-20cm ten unequal length line segment midpoint statistics of each line segment offset rate and average offset rate of ten segments. Experiment II digital aliquot test: audition taken span fixed two figures the span respectively 3 (1 and 3), 5 (1 and 5), 7 (1 and 7) and 9 (such as 1 and 9), subjects were required in the premise of not calculated answer figures located in the middle of the two figures were calculated each span midpoint offset rate and four span average offset rate. Comparing patients with healthy controls segment decile partial the rate digital decile offset rate. Results: experiment: all segments offset rate of the patient group are negative, which average offset rate (-0.02 ± 0.03)% and segment 2cm offset rate (-0.03 ± 0.74)% and the control group [(- 0.00 ± 0.01)% and (0.00 ± 0.02)%] compared the difference was significant statistically significant (P lt; 0.05); patient group average offset rate of zero value, the difference was statistically significant (P lt ; 0.01); the average deviation of the normal control group was negative, zero value difference was statistically significant (P lt; 0.05). Experiment II: the patients group digital aliquots offset rate are negative, in addition to pitch 3 outside, pitch (-0.07 ± 0.18)% (-0.08 ± 0.22)% and 9 (-0.09 ± 0.28)% partial shift rate than the control group [were (-0.01 ± 0.05)% and (0.01 ± 0.08)% and (0.00 ± 0.14)%] left side, significant difference was statistically significant (all P lt; 0.05). Conclusion: The the schizophrenia segment aliquots test segment offset rate are negative, and compared to the average offset rate and most segments offset rate of zero value the existence of significant differences in total average offset rate, compared with the control left partial , indicating that patients with spatial attention is easy to overlook the right side of the line segment; trials of digital decile, offset rate of patients with the midpoint of figures 5,7,9 are negative, with significant differences between normal controls, indicate the presence of the same right side overlooked phenomenon. The experimental results reflect the overall performance in patients with attention deficit of the space on the right, may be related to the dysfunction of the left cerebral hemisphere.
