Abstract


Chinese is a tone language, and English is a tone language. There is this difference in the tone of voice system on the English and Chinese language, the Chinese students to communicate with native English speakers, often due to the tone of inadequate information can not accurately convey. Piaget's theory of cognitive development, junior high school students is in the initial stages of development of formal operations period at the stage of student a relatively correct self-understanding of abstract concepts or assumptions, and the stage of the learned knowledge is not period of stability, development space, college students or adults in some cognitive tends to be rigid and not conducive to correct and improve. Although the junior high school students before contact or learn English, but their English level cognitive largely restricted word correct pronunciation and memory. In grammar, only know some sentence a simple lift tune mode, abstraction does not have sufficient knowledge of English intonation. Strengthen awareness of learner intonation training, teachers in junior secondary students targeted tone imitate and practice allows students to obtain accurate information, appreciate the emotions expressed in the discourse, identify the speaker's intention , and thus continue to improve the English proficiency of learners, and lay a solid foundation for future learning English. The purpose of this study is to understand the tone of the junior high school students to the variation in the acquisition process, such as the characteristics of the stress distribution and intonation patterns, the feasibility of the proposal, so as to promote the progress of junior high school students' English communication ability for English teaching. The research questions are mainly involves three aspects: 1) the analysis of four different types of sentences (declarative, a general question, special questions and Disjunctive Questions) to understand the characteristics of the junior high school students' English intonation; 2) junior high school students in English intonation at different intonation of native speakers; 3) learners Imitation observe English intonation patterns how micro changes. Through constant imitation exercises, learners of different sentence accent and pitch distribution we have a certain understanding of the obvious highlights, the tone of the sentence type has changed from the overall.
