Chinese development of 30years’social innovation brings to diversifying economic interests, a drastic change have taken place in people’s moral ideas. Many problems aroused in the fields of morals as a result of diversity of economic interests and moral values. Recent years’ research on Shanxi Merchants involved little research of moral education method. Nowadays research on moral education has aroused increasing attention. To solve problem we faced require learning and making best use of traditional methods of moral education, a moral theory should also be constructed to promote the development of moral education.Chang family (Yuci, Shangxi province) entered on business career in Changchiakou from the fifth generation, developed and expand till eleventh generation.At last they became one of the most powerful merchants. Chang family, known as a literary family, has always attached great importance to education.The family is said to be learned business and well-known cultural family. Moral education is one of the most important items in chang family’s education.Based on thought of the above matters, the paper will analyze methods of moral education and its contemporary aspiration by 3 parts. Started with basic situation of moral education in Chang family, the first part will presents the idea that moral education is indispensable on the aspects of tradition view and contemporary view. Then chang family’s emphasis on moral education during their business activity will be introduced. They blent Confucianism’s value of justice and benefit into their business activity, thus formed the good tradition which is be guileless in business,and earning by righteousness. The last item will be main contents of moral education in chang family.The second part, which is the key one, will put more emphasis on main methods of moral education. Multiple courses are conductive to impulse moral education. Chang family adopts family school to heighten moral influence. They also inherit the Confucianism’s tradition of poetry for fostering moral emotion, and moral culture in traditional disciplines to formulate family disciplines for fostering belief. They use the method of teaching by words and deeds to strengthen their moral cognition. In addition to, the family mold moral sentiment by ancestor worship, and put stress on establishing family environments filled with ethical climate.The third part will represent that those methods of moral education, such as instructing by words and deeds, grateful education, appreciating literary works etc deserved to use as a source of reference for contemporary people. We should construct a moral theory to promote the development of moral education. Consequently, the whole country’s moral quality will be raised.
