Abstract

The trend of today’s table tennis is that the technical development is more active, the attack is more fierce, the techniques are more comprehensive, the specialty is more prominent without any obvious errors, the stalemate and the transition are more fierce, the full stage has no dead angle with three—dimensinal attack. Therefore, (with the right hand athletes for example) various techinques of athletes playing on the left location are required more delicate and tight, the offensive is required gradually strengthened and the switch of attack and defend is required more reasonable.This study analyse the statistics collected by the methods of literatured study, video watching, the Physics-Math study and comparative analysis, which is about the use of techniques and tactics and the condition of the scorting and losing point of the six excelent Chinese and European male table tennis players playing on the left side in the 42 times games.The results of the study indicate that:1.The main feature of the backhand using of the Chinese table tennis players represented by Ma Long, Wang Ling and Wang Hao is that the whole team is relatively skilled, the transition between both hands and the control of the return’s route and the droppoint is resonable, and the attack after service is active and outstanding, but the problem exposed the most is that the weak of the backhand’s defence.2. The main feature of backhand using of the European athletes represented by Boll, Ovtcharov, Samsonov is that the rate of point socored or losed in both hands attack is relatively equal and they are more outstanding in the receiving and serving section and they often choose oblique line of the return. The main problem of the foreign players is the weak of the control of the short-line ball by backhand. 3. The study compared between the Chinese an European athletes indicate that the utilization rate of the spliting long, the sideways rob rushing, the reserved drawing, backhand blocking are obviously different from the scoring rate of the straight line and the return line. There are also obvious differences between the use of the straight line and the return line and in the utilization rate between the droppoints of 2a,4a, and 6a and in the scoring rate of the droppoints of the 2a,3a, and8a and in the losing rate of the 8a.4. Chinese players’offensive efficiency is slightly lower than foreign athletes in the aspect of the attack from the backhand position, but there are no different in losing rate. While the foreign players’offensive is apparently higher than the domestic players especially in the banckhand attack, but there are no difference between the utilization and the scorating rate.
