Abstract


2008 Beijing Olympic Games success , given China 's urban brand marketing provides a rare historical opportunity . Theory and practice have proved that sporting events, especially large-scale sporting events is the same as for market and brand marketing . Major sports events to promote the city brand marketing is the background of economic globalization spawned the inevitable outcome. Advantage in the competition for resources, urban development is increasingly similar means and methods of case studies and analyzes how major sporting events to the city of a brand and enhance the positive effects of the increase in the city's competitive advantage has important practical significance. This article will foreign theories and systematic integration of existing domestic research , to disseminate science as theoretical guidance , supplemented sociology, management , marketing and other cross-disciplinary , analysis of domestic cities in practice how large sports events on the City brand have a positive propagation effects , and then to Nanning International Half marathon preliminary empirical analysis , reflecting the impact of Nanning International Half marathon Nanning city brand image \shaping and propagation effects .
