Abstract


Innovation is very important to the publishing industry, and as the core productivity of the publishing industry,editor have the mission of innovation. As the restructuration progressing, publishing industry has been more of vitality as well as processing inevitable difficulties. Editor’s identity, function and quality requirements have changed.The issue of this paper is to study the status and direction of editing innovationIn this paper,we study on many aspects of the innovation system of publishing by questionnaires and interview.After the survey and analysis, we know that editing innovation is a system, not only the editor’s innovation ability is needed but also other supporting things are needed,for example,the external environment and internal management.There is also comparative study in this paper, and the traditional publishing industry may learn from private publishing company about their experiences,like operation mechanism, brand awareness, market awareness and customer service philosophy.In addition,the global publishing industry are facing the background of digital publishing,and digital publishing has become trend of the publishing industry. Editors need to build three-dimensional creative cogitation and facing the wave of digital publishing positivitly.
