Abstract


To make a comprehensive view of the television program development course, the television talk show has initiated another upsurge after television news, television variety program and television entertainment program. At present, talk show has been a key program for each. TV station. From the celebrity interview to common people’s talk show, and to those which choose common people’s emotion and privacy as the content, the television talk show has already presented thousands of ways pattern。But in the recent years, the emotion class talk show which is presented in the form of mediate has more and more appearances on television screen. With its development, there are also many disputes and problems. For example, some column are lack of innovation, they only imitate each other; and some put more attention on pursue of the strange of the story without concerning on authenticity and humanities; also, desirably sensational and unlimited exposition of people’s privacy is a serious problem for this kind o f program. Because of these, some programs has already been stopped from broadcasting. Therefore, it is necessary to make a systematic analysis of this kind of talk show.Based on the comprehensive inspection and the research on theories of this kind of television talk show, I think those programs can be classified as a "type". So, according to materials from a large number of books and academic articles, the author summarized the concept of emotional mediation TV talk show. It is:the emotional mediation TV talk show founds on all kinds of emotional problems in ordinary people’s life, and people who are involved in the affairs tell us about the problems and confusions they are facing with. Each person can express his own views, even can they argue over the affairs. Videos could be used when necessary to help explain the complex story. The host and psychologist or emotion expert will analyze the problem from multiple perspectives and give suggestions for people who are confused, these suggestions and comforts can ease contradictions and help people out of problems. This kind of program stands in view of the whole society to accomplish its responsibilities and strengthen humanistic care. Against this background, heckling the type and characteristic, clearing the definition of the emotional mediation TV talk show can contribute to its creation and development.The article seeks the background and current situation of from the angle of mass communication and sociology, choose <the magic cube of happiness> of Dragon TV as an example, with the method of qualitative study, in order to conclude the reasons for success of this kind of TV talk show. The author hopes that this study can be valuable not only on theory but also on practice for the development of the emotional mediation TV talk show.
