Abstract


In recent years, the Media Convergence is developing very rapidly, which has very profound impacts on development of the theory on the traditional journalism, especially for the theory of press freedom. Media Convergence could provide some realization on the citizen journalists, and enable citizens to exercise the right to supervise more and more easily .But it also increases the risk of abusing and alienating the press freedom . In this paper, guided by the Marxist ideology, I tried to comb the theoretical origin of the traditional press freedom scientifically, to reveal the hypocrisy of the western theory press freedom, to sum up the painful lessons of the former Soviet Union which had wrongly treated the press freedom ,and to avoid disadvantages as early as possible. I hope this paper could provide basis for making up management policy of media Convergence and preventing the risk of western theory press freedom in future.
