Abstract

Wireless sensor network node energy is mainly supplied by batteries , energy is severely limited. Therefore, the design of new, more energy-efficient wireless sensor network protocols to support the operation , so that the effective lifetime of the network as long as possible has become a current research focus . In this paper, an effective wireless sensor networks to extend the survival time of the issue Expand the following two aspects: first , in-depth study of the MAC layer protocol , can not exist for SMAC protocol for wireless sensor networks based on the size of data traffic accounted for adaptive adjustment issues raised air ratio improved protocol - S-smac protocol that enables wireless sensor network node has an adaptive listener functions, and nodes according to how busy the network dynamically adjusts the duty cycle. Second, the network layer routing protocol DSR conducted in-depth research, and the basis of that agreement , an improved load balancing strategy . For DSR protocol only consider the source node and the destination node between the minimum number of hops , without considering the residual energy of nodes , we propose a new improved scheme - E-DSR protocol : When a node in the network energy consumption due too fast into the dangerous period , the node will be automatically sent to the data source node sends a request packet , the packet includes the address of the node and the residual energy information . Source node receives the packet will update the routing cache table , and according to the number of hops each route and the remaining energy to re-select the best route. By building NS-2 simulation scenarios , we have obtained experimental results confirm that the improved protocol than the original protocol in energy conservation, load balancing , delay , etc. With some improvement .
