With the rapid development and wide application of GIS to GIS users of all walks of life demand more and more specific , at the same time requires more and more high -level custom . This is not only a test of the level of development and design capabilities of the GIS developer , also is a challenge and test existing GIS development platform . Design a cross-platform , multi-language support and scalable geographic information platform , gradually recognized by the majority of users , the use of this platform has become a trend . First , this paper , through the study of domestic and foreign common development platform , designed on the basis of the ArcGIS Server and geographic information platform based UI called . In the process of studying the platform design principles and goals , and the design of the framework structure based on geographic information platform UI calls . Focused on the design of the secondary development interface with other applications call each other , so that the application UI mode and combined with the definition of the xml specification to invoke the functionality of the platform , the GIS functions and thematic maps ; On the other hand , the platform through the the calling application system functionality , making the measuring point in the application layer and application system data information associated extends the functionality of the platform . Thematic map analysis functions for professional applications in the platform , the focus of this paper discusses its geographic grid analysis , proposed a two-stage optimization algorithm meshing , largely GeoNetwork the speed of analysis grid . Second, the analysis based on the data of the geographical information platform UI calls , the design of a distributed database structure , including the three aspects of the underlying data , application data , thematic data , and ArcSDE spatial data management . The results showed that improve the functionality of the platform for the development of the related application systems provide a convenient , fast and reliable foundation platform of great practical value in the practical application .
