In the past twenty years , fault detection and diagnosis (Fault Detection and Diagnosis, referred FDD) controlled by the international community's attention , in many areas has been applied. And a lot of the actual system contains both continuous system also contains discrete systems , which constitute the hybrid system . Switching system as a hybrid system, the most typical one class of switching system fault detection problem , will promote the development of the theory of hybrid systems . This article relies on the National Natural Science Foundation of China , observer -based method to study the switching system fault detection problem , the main contents are as follows: state estimation method based studies varying delay switched linear systems robust fault detection problem , the failure to detection problem is transformed into observer design . Through the state of the actual value and the comparison between the estimated value of the residuals obtained equations obtained by introducing a reference model state error system of equations , based on the average dwell time method and without exponential piecewise Lyapunov function were investigated state error system satisfies H ∞ performance and robust stability and linear inequality (LMI) system has given observer , the observer gain matrix satisfy the condition , and finally through simulation examples to demonstrate its feasibility. Consider the practical application of the nonlinear perturbation item or system status and its derivatives are neutral with a delay that is the case , when the case of system failure by comparing its design state observer and estimates of the actual values ??, too the state error system model . Then by using piecewise exponential term without Lyapunov function analysis system exponential stability and H ∞ performance indicators, and then through the dwell time method to analyze the role of an arbitrary switching signal to switch the system stability and H ∞ performance indicators, error with LMI system is given in the form of the sufficient stable condition , and finally through the design threshold value, when the residual time t is larger than the threshold value of the evaluation function value for the alarm signal , otherwise the normal operation.
