Abstract

Water is a substance essential for the survival of humans and all creatures of industrial and agricultural production, economic development and environmental improvement irreplaceable extremely valuable natural resources. Due to changes in global climate conditions, human use of natural water resources are less and less. Other natural resources, water is a renewable resource, so often used for recycling and treatment of industrial waste water and sewage to expand the use of water resources. There are now many new sewage treatment process, activated sludge process is still the preferred process, the aeration tank is the heart of the activated sludge process, is particularly important. In order to ensure that microbes have sufficient oxygen for metabolism, the aeration tank through aeration, increasing the dissolved oxygen content in the effluent, so that oxygen, activated sludge, nutrient sufficiently mixed so that the sludge in the suspended state. 'From the point of view of fluid mechanics, these effects are by gas-liquid two-phase flow. Angle of the gas-liquid two-phase flow, the flow velocity and the flow pattern of the aeration tanks to study through the the aeration tube aperture size of the aeration tanks and aeration rate changes, a profound understanding of the flow characteristics of the flow field in the aeration tanks, the promotion of The aeration tanks biochemical reaction is of great significance to improve the efficiency of wastewater treatment. Also provide theoretical guidance for the actual operation and process design optimization. In this paper, refer to a large number of domestic and international data on the basis of an experimental model of the aeration tank device using PIV (particle image velocimetry) techniques to study the law of motion of the bubbles and the liquid state of the aeration tanks. Research methods and findings of this paper: (1) design a set of experimental model of the aeration tank device, the device can be observed the aeration bubbles and liquid flow rate, the flow pattern and can be observed to change the the aeration volume flow rate and flow pattern changes. (2) using particle image velocimetry, under different conditions, the characteristics of the flow pattern within the device. (3) For the same depth and the same aeration aperture, the amount of aeration is affecting the flow rate of the flow state of the main factors. When the aeration volume is increased, the flow state is more complex, and the faster the flow rate, whereas the more simple, smaller. (4) the use of a computer language program to achieve the image processing, saves a lot of time for the experimental study. (5) Select the tracer particles affordable applicable to the process of this thesis.
