Abstract


As a typical large equipment manufacturing industry, shipbuilding Industry plays a powerful leading role on the regional economy development, involving a long chain and wide range. With the global competition sharpening, industry clusters have become the major model of the enterprise development in most of the countries. Since reform and opening, China’s shipbuilding industry has been developing rapidly and occupying in the world shipping market occupies an increasingly important position. The competitiveness is the internal mechanism to determine growth of industrial clusters. To improve the competitiveness of industries is the most critical content to implement industrial cluster strategy. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out research on shipbuilding Industry cluster.The opening of Cross-sea Bridge means the beginning of the era of Zhoushan, and makes the obvious advantages for the development of shipbuilding industry conditions in Zhoushan, with plenty of domestic and international market demand. Especially the establishment of new district of Zhoushan Islands provides a good opportunity for the development for the Zhoushan industry in twelfth five-year plan. However, a series bump seriously constrained the development of industrial clusters, including lack of personnel, hard to financing, inadequate development of related industries, the imperfect mechanism of production, study and research, so that the potential of Zhoushan Shipbuilding cannot play out completely. Confronted an increasingly competitive in international and domestic markets, it is particularly important to improve the competitiveness of Zhoushan Shipbuilding Industry Cluster.Based on the theory of the relationship between industrial clusters and the competitiveness, and the involved research findings, taking enhancement the competitiveness of industrial clusters of Zhoushan Ship as a starting point, this thesis analysis the characteristics of the development of Shipbuilding Industry clusters, and points out the factors of competitive industrial clusters. From the factors of production and demand conditions, related and supporting industries, business strategy, structure and competition six aspects, the thesis carries on a comprehensive, systematic empirical analysis on the factors of Zhoushan Shipping industry cluster competitiveness individually, and leads to Zhoushan Shipbuilding Industry Cluster problems and causes analysis, and raises the countermeasure and suggestions for enhancing the competitiveness of Zhoushan Shipbuilding Industry Cluster from the sides of government, enterprises themselves and industrial chain.
