Abstract


Objective of our hospital 10 cases of prostate sarcoma and domestic and international literature review to explore the of prostate sarcoma diagnosis, treatment and prognosis. Clinical data and research methods collected from March 1996 to December 2009 the Provincial Hospital Affiliated to Anhui Medical University, Department of Urology admitted to hospital 10 cases of prostate sarcoma patients, all patients had complete clinical and epidemiological data. Epidemiology, signs and symptoms, laboratory tests, imaging studies, pathology, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of 10 patients were analyzed. Combined with nearly a decade reported a total of 169 cases of prostate sarcoma patients treatment and prognosis, modes of treatment, all patients in the combined therapy group and palliative care group using t test was used to compare the two groups of average survival time. The results based on the observation of tissue morphology and immunohistochemical staining results, frozen prostate biopsy results with surgery and postoperative pathological findings consistent. The final pathological diagnosis of the 10 patients were: leiomyosarcoma five cases, three cases of fibrosarcoma, rhabdomyosarcoma, spindle cell sarcoma. In seven cases of radical prostatectomy surgery patients, the survival time of patients be radiotherapy and (or) chemotherapy in patients with 5,6,8,12,15 months; 2 cases of postoperative radiotherapy and chemotherapy, the survival time of patients 6 months, and 1 patient was lost. 2 patients underwent radical prostatectomy, ileal neobladder, postoperative radiotherapy or chemotherapy, are the survival time of 7 months and 10 months. Patients with simple bladder fistulization postoperative radiotherapy and chemotherapy, the survival time of 5 months. Tumors are all causes of death in patients with distant metastases. The average survival time was significantly higher than in the combined therapy group palliative care group (P = 0.036) in the country reported a total of 169 cases of prostate sarcoma patient treatment and prognosis analysis. Conclusions age of onset of prostate sarcoma patients light, fast development and poor prognosis. 2 prostate sarcoma in patients with the most common symptoms of bladder outlet obstruction symptoms. PSA and prostate sarcoma occur, the development of non-correlation. 4. Prostate gland biopsy is an important means of diagnosis of prostate sarcoma pathological examination is the only method confirmed prostate sarcoma. Early diagnosis and comprehensive treatment to surgery is the most effective treatment prostate sarcoma.
