Abstract


Objective: To explore the role of PTEN protein in the development of Human Renal clear cell carcinoma .Methods: The expression of PTEN protein in Renal clear cell carcinoma tissues(43cases), adjacent tissues(43cases) and normal kidney(11cases) tissues was detected by Elivison immunohisochemical techniques.Results: The separate positive rate of the expression of PTEN protein in cancer tissues, adjacent tissues and normal kidney tissues was 53.49%(23/43)、90.7%(39/43)and 100%(11/11).The expression in the cancer tissues was significantly different from the other two(p<0.05).The expression in the adjacent tissues and the normal kidney tissues has no significant difference (p>0.05).The two groups of different cancer size had no significant difference in the expression of PTEN protein (p>0.05 ) .The positive expression of PTEN protein was correlated to the differentiation of cancer cells(r=-0.385,p<0.05). The Renal clear cell carcinoma gradeⅠ+Ⅱhave significant difference with the gradeⅢ+Ⅳgroup in the positive expression of PTEN protein(p<0.05).Conclusion: The PTEN protein in Renal clear cell carcinoma tissues could be a good marker to indentify the progress of the cancer and to estimate the prognosis.
