Objective : To investigate the correlation of liver function Child-pugh grading esophageal variceal ligation (EVL) efficacy and prognosis of patients with cirrhosis . Methods: We analyzed 213 routine the EVL surgery and 145 patients did not undergo patients with EVL surgery cirrhosis of the medical records and follow-up data using Cox proportional hazards regression model analysis of the EVL postoperative factors affecting the survival of patients with the Kaplan-Meier ( KM ) method to estimate and compare the survival rate of the patients at all levels of the liver function Child-pugh . Results : A total of 156 patients completed the esophageal variceal eradication therapy . Liver function A , B and C patients varicose vein recurrence rate was 15.2% , 30.8% and 53.3 % of C -level and A , the difference was statistically significant ( P lt; 0.05 ) Grade B , A , class B the difference was not statistically significant ( P gt; 0.05) , liver function , A , B and C -class patients rebleeding rates were 3.0%, 5.1% and 8.9% , respectively , among the difference was not statistically significance ( P gt ; 0.05 ) . EVL group and control group liver function A , B , C class patients with 5 -year cumulative survival rates were 82.8% , 54.9% , 28.7% and 73.2% , 29.7% , 18.2% , within each group Pugh patients pairwise comparison of the survival curve , the differences were statistically significant ( P lt; 0.05 ) . EVL group liver function, B , C class patients survival curves were compared with the control group , the difference was statistically significant ( P lt; 0.05 ) . Conclusion: The liver function Child-pugh classification the EVL postoperative varicose vein recurrence rate and survival rate of patients is closely related to liver function worse the higher the rate of recurrence of varicose veins , the survival rate of patients with lower . EVL can improve long-term survival of cirrhosis patients with esophageal varices .
