Abstract


With the popularity of the network,there are more and more historical information on the Internet. History researchers and historians get the information through the network, but also facing the mass data challenges brought by fast growth of web information.To get valuable information and knowledge from the mass data, we must use modern information technology to change the traditional form of historical research, making the data and information play a greater role. It will be the only way to study history, learning modern information technology, intelligent technology and computer technology, realizing the quantitative and intelligence historical studies.Search engine quickly become an indispensable tool that helps people obtain network information and the main entrance of the Internet, since its inception. Currently, users mainly use traditional search engine to access historical information such as Baidu, Google and so on. Providing a unified interface is the advantage of traditional search engine, users can query just by keywords,this can greatly reduce the use difficulty. Using traditional search engine to search history information, the advantage is high recall rate, disadvantage is that the search result is too large, it is difficult for users to quickly and accurately find the information they need. Especially for historical research, this kind of knowledge has a strong field feature, the traditional search engine will get a lot of irrelevant information, bringing trouble for user’s domain knowledge learning.When the 1911 Revolution has been a century, this article takes the history of the Revolution as research object, design and implement search engine based on ontology. Around the design and implementation of search engine based on ontology, the main work includes:(1) Crawl the network data associated with the Revolution, provide network data to support the research.(2) Build Revolution ontology database, provide domain knowledge to help the research.(3) Retrieve the 1911 Revolution ontology, as a complement to web retrieval, make search results more precise.(4) Reason the 1911 Revolution ontology, reveal deeper relationship, service for more professional users.(5) Visualize the results of ontology retrieval and reasoning, provide more intuitive search results.(6) Analyse the log information, find the focus and the change of the focus.
