Iron and steel industry as the traditional technology , capital , resources , and energy-intensive industries , the key areas of the national development of circular economy and building a conservation-oriented society . Microscopic iron and steel enterprises in the iron and steel industry as the principal investor, the face of the objective facts of the dual pressures of the resources , the environment , and corporate profits are declining , and its development model is gradually ecological transition from extensive to . Therefore , the level of efficiency of investment in ecological projects will be directly related to the economic efficiency of enterprises and sustainable development , focusing primarily iron and steel enterprises to enhance their competitiveness . In view of this , we start from the steel mills in the construction of the eco- frontier angle , on the basis of existing research , the DEA data envelopment analysis and BP neural network analysis method combination is used to study the ecological efficiency of investment projects in the iron and steel industry . Initially industrial ecology theory , investment efficiency evaluation index system of ecological projects ; and subsequent microscopic iron and steel enterprises , the annual eco- project investment data by DEA methods measure the efficiency ; investment structure, at the same time each year as the the BP model 's input DEA efficiency value measured value as the output value of the BP model to build a neural network , to conduct a study on the future of investment efficiency . Traditional afterwards extended to macroscopic evaluation prior investment efficiency evaluation and research , is conducive to investment source control . Finally, Laiwu Steel Group in recent years to build steel mills ecological investment model validation as an example to prove the effectiveness of the method of this study , and to study the efficiency of investment in the next five years of Laiwu Steel Group , the calculated results for the model Laiwu Steel Group , and put forward relevant proposals to improve the efficiency of investment , investment plans tend to be more reasonable , like iron and steel enterprises in the reference sample .
