Abstract


Objective:To discuss the effect of irregular labor intervention on postpartum hemorrhageMethods:From a retrospective analysis,824 puerpera who deliver a fetus without pregnant complications pregnancy from January of 2007 to April of 2010 were divided into two groups according to with or without irregular labor intervention.309 cases were in the group with irregular labor intervention called as a research group,515 cases were in the group without irregular labor intervention called as control group. There are no obviously difference in the mother age,parity, gravidity, gestational weeks of fetus and BMI (P>0.05) between two groups.We compared the postpartum blood loss amount, the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage, cesarean section rate and postpartum complications of research group with control group.Results:The incidence of postpartum hemorrhage, the postpartum blood loss amount,cesarean section rate and postpartum complications was significantly higher in the research group than in the control group (P<0.05). Neonatal Apgar score was significantly lower in the research group than in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusions:we have to strictly limit the indications of induced labor and avoid irregular labor intervention.
