Abstract


Objective:Based on syndrome differentiation of six channels, we investigate the syndrome and treatment of insomnia dynamically and so as to be sure of improving the clinical efficacy.Method: Finding the evidences which related to insomnia from the literatures of past dynasties since Yellow Emperor’s Internal Classic, then anatomizing the relevant provisions of Treatise on Febrile Diseases, further finding out the dynamic law of syndrome differentiation and treatment of six channels and insomnia via using the theory of opening-closing of Nutritive Qi and Defensive Qi.Results:In the theoretical system of syndrome differentiation and treatment of six channels, the nature of Tai-Yang channel is opening, and the insomnia induced by Tai-Yang disease incarnates the abnormal opening of Qi activity; Yang-Ming channel governs closing of Qi activity, and the insomnia induced by Yang-Ming disease shows the abnormal closing of Qi activity; Shao-Yang channel controls the pivot of Qi activity, hence the insomnia induced by Shao-Yang disease reflects the abnormal transportation of Qi activity; Moreover, the change laws of opening-closing-pivot of three yin diseases are in a similar way.Conclusion:The TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment of insomnia based on the theory of opening-closing of Nutritive Qi and Defensive Qi is fully reflected in syndrome differentiation of six channels of Treatise on Febrile Diseases. According to the above views, we summarize the dynamic law of disease progress and treatment of insomnia.
