Abstract


Gender studies as an important aspect in Archaeology research, which not only expended the field of Archaeology research, but also for the interpretation of material remains left by ancient societies to provide a new perspective of information, its advantanges, especially reflected in the analytical material on the burial. Once identified the tomb of gender, cultural relics on the establishment of the material and social co-existence between men and women of direct evidence.This thesis analyses the materials of Western Zhou Dynasty tombs, Based on the study, a typical example the cemetery started the analysis of gender archeology to study burials’gender variance at different levels, different age groups, different groups. After the comparison of the typical cemetery, summed up the Western Zhou Dynasty tombs in the Eastern region gender differences in the overall characteristics. Finally, according to historical records of the Western Zhou society about gender differences between men and women reflected a little of the social and historical context.
