Abstract


The paper mainly analyzes errors of Thai students in studying and using Chinese measure words. Research focuses on the comparison between Chinese and Thai measure words, listing the typical errors in acquisition of measure words by Thai students in order to summarize errors’reasons and provide problem-solving method. It divided into 5 chapters:In the introduction chapter, thesis briefly introduces the core objectives of research, literature reviews, including with research resource and methodology. The first chapter is the comparison between Chinese and Thai measure words, describes the general characteristics, structure and function of Chinese and Thai measure words, in both similarities and differences. The second chapter is about tool-designs and the analysis results, then listing the typical errors in acquisition of measure words by Thai students. The third chapter summarizes the roots of errors from the factors which affect to Thai students in Chinese learning e.g. interference, teaching materials, training, culture and logic causes. The forth chapter suggests some effective methods. In order to enhance the study of Chinese Measure words for Thai students, the paper also provides students’ manual. The fifth chapter is the conclusion part.The factors of Chinese measure words errors of Thai students can be divided into five main causes as negative interference, vocabulary knowledge, material and training, learning and communication strategies, culture and logic causes.
