Abstract


South of Hunan is one of most complex dialect areas in our country. Here is distributing many areas where two dialects are spoken, in these areas where bidialect is spoken, the generally prevail the Mandarin (belongs to the southwest Mandarin) besides the region, but also exists in the local Mandarin entirely different local patois, these local patois are called "the local patois in the south of Hunan". At present, the academic study of Southern Hunan patois is still very limited, the majority patois system is not yet clear, while the study of bidialect in the south of Hunan is much rare.So taking the two dialects-----mandarin and local patois in Ningyuan County, Hunan Province as research objective, the thesis introduces the main characteristics and current situation of phonetics of the two dialects, compares their differences and similarities in phonetics, research into the degree to which they influence each other in phonetics, and makes a prediction for their development trends.The thesis is consisted of six parts.In the introduction, geography, history, population and language of Ningyuan County, research situation of comparison between the two dialects as well as the focus and significance of the thesis are briefly introduced.In chapter 1, the phoneme system and features of rhyme of the Mandarin are comprehensively stated.In chapter 2, the phoneme system and features of rhyme of the local patois are comprehensively stated. In chapter 3, applying the method of comparative analysis, the differences and similarities in such phonetic elements as initials, finals, tones and syllables are compared in detail, and some explanations and interpretations are made.In chapter 4, applying the method of comparative analysis, some significant laws of bidialect in Ningyuan are mainly compared.In chapter 5, the degree to which the two dialects in Ningyuan County are mutually influenced and the development trend of bidialect in Ningyuan County are revealed.
