Abstract


Wang Zegnqi pays attention to the literary language, and he has his own theory of literary language. His theory of literary language is an ontology. He thinks that the literary language has four meanings:literary language is some kind of the content of the literary; literary language is a phenomena of culture; literary language can express more than what it presents; literary language has inherent pattern. Wang Zengqi pursues all these meanings through his prose. As the language of Wang Zengqi’s prose give expression to the recordings culture and folk culture, the language of his prose can connect the traditional literary and the contemporary literary. In this sense, the language of Wang Zengqi’prose reflects the relation of intertextuality between the tradition and modernity. This is to say:in the modern aesthetic object, tradition is not rigid but still the modern value and resources which possesses the inheritance of vital force. This text will analyze Wang Zengqi’s theory of literary language, explore the aesthetic style of his prose language, and explain how to connect the tradition and modernity by the prose language..
